THE SALAD DISH IS IN EXCELLENT MINT CONDITION.  THERE ARE NO CRACKS, CHIPS OR CRAZING… NO SCRATCHES.  THE COBALT BLUE AND MEISSEN STYLE PATTERN,  UNDER-GLAZED ON FINE TRANSLUCENT PORCELAIN,  DISPLAYS GREAT QUALITY!

IT MEASURES 9 INCHES ACROSS IN LENGTH AND 4 INCHES WIDE. THE  RIM IS SCALLOPED.

** THE BLUE ONION DESIGN IS A GROUPING OF SEVERAL FLORAL MOTIFS, WITH JAPANESE PEACHES AND POMEGRANATES ALONG THE RIM  …..  AND IN THE CENTER, STYLIZED PEONIES AND ASTERS, THEIR STEMS, IN FLOWING CURVES, WINDING AROUND A BAMBOO STALK.  MEISSEN WAS ONE OF THE FIRST IN EUROPE TO PRODUCE THIS PATTERN IN THE 1700’S.
